Joe Bonamassa Shares Vol. III of B.B. King’s Blues Summit 100

Los Angeles, 14 November 2025 – Blues virtuoso Joe Bonamassa has unveiled Vol. III of the landmark tribute project B.B. King’s Blues Summit 100, celebrating what would have been the King of the Blues’ 100th birthday. Out now via KTBA Records, this installment features five inspired collaborations: “Sweet Little Angel” ft. Buddy Guy, “Don’t You Want A Man Like Me” ft. Larkin Poe, “Heartbreaker” ft. Trombone Shorty & Eric Gales, “Watch Yourself” ft. Jimmie Vaughan, and “When It All Comes Down (I’ll Still Be Around)” ft. Larry McCray.

Produced by Bonamassa and Josh Smith, the volume captures King’s spirit across generations, with raw, live-feel performances blending blues grit and soulful innovation. Leading the pack is “Sweet Little Angel” ft. Buddy Guy, paired with a poignant music video interweaving archival footage of King and Guy’s friendship.

“Buddy Guy is obviously the first call you make when putting this project together… This take shows you why Buddy is the living legend he is. Our most important living blues artist.” – Josh Smith

Today also brings the reveal of one of the album’s crown jewels: “The Thrill Is Gone” ft. Chaka Khan & Eric Clapton – a historic pairing of the soul powerhouse and guitar icon reinterpreting King’s timeless hit. It arrives with the full 32-track album on February 6, 2026 (digital, double CD, triple LP).
