The Dandy Warhols Pin Ups Covers Album Announced
Portland’s psychedelic alt-rock legends The Dandy Warhols have announced Pin Ups, a curated covers album compiling years of reinterpretations, B-sides, tribute tracks, and unreleased gems – set for release March 20, 2026 via Beat The World Records/Little Cloud Records.
Rather than a standard covers project, it acts as a “parallel history” of the band, reframing songs from influences, peers, and friends across punk, post-punk, psychedelia, and beyond. Zia McCabe: “We’ve been talking for years now about getting as many of the covers we’ve done… together… It’s finally happening.” Courtney Taylor-Taylor: “For reminiscing, this record is one of my favourites.” Peter G. Holmström: “These are some of our favourite songs… they all meant something to us.” Taylor-Taylor adds: “Nearly every band we cover… are friends… or artists we have had a meaningful experience with.”
Lead single “Kiss Off” (Violent Femmes cover) – with McCabe on vocals, injecting “sharp, bratty swagger” over retro mod vibes – dropped December 12, 2025, its lyric video out now.
McCabe: “I’m especially excited… I can’t believe this gem has just been sitting on a hard drive for years.”
Following 2024’s acclaimed Rockmaker (feat. Slash, Frank Black, Debbie Harry) and 2025 remix companion Rock ReMaker, plus Oregon Symphony collaborations (“Nothing compares,” per Taylor-Taylor), Pin Ups celebrates the band’s restless curiosity.
