Hold Me Down: A Classic Soul Revival

“Hold Me Down”, reminiscent of 60s soul with modern twists from Alabama Shakes and Amy Winehouse, showcases Meghan Parnell‘s sultry, gritty vocals over punchy horn shots and a James Gadson-inspired high-hat pulse. Bywater Call—Meghan Parnell (vocals), Dave Barnes (guitar), Bruce McCarthy (drums), Mike Meusel (bass), Andrew Moljgun (keys, newest member), Stephen Dyte (trumpet), and Julian Nalli (tenor sax)—transcends genres with influences from The Band, The Wood Brothers, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Otis Redding, Little Feat, Sly and the Family Stone, and more.
