Album Insights

Souls marks a bold evolution for Scardust, blending intricate progressive elements, sweeping symphonic passages, anthemic choruses, and epic choirs. The album features the Hellscore choir and a string quartet throughout, with guest appearances from international talents like Ross Jennings (Haken), Ally Storch (Subway to Sally), and orchestras including the TLV Orchestra and a Turkish ensemble. Thematically, it explores memory, belonging, loss, and connection, weaving in orchestral, Mediterranean, and Celtic influences. Band Journey

Since their debut EP Shadow (2015) and LP Sands of Time (2017), Scardust has risen from Israel’s local metal scene to global prominence, selling out shows and opening for Symphony X, Therion, and Epica. Their 2020 album Strangers, a concept album with seven self-produced videos, earned acclaim from Dead Rhetoric as “captivating from start to finish.” The band’s 2022 highlight included a collaboration with folk star Patty Gurdy on “Concrete Cages,” their most-viewed video, and headlining Wacken Open Air, where Testament’s Steve Di Giorgio was “mesmerized.” In 2023, Game of Now and a tour with Blind Guardian led to a multi-album deal with Frontiers Records, paving the way for Souls.

Livestream Highlights

Tonight’s livestream, starting at 6:30 PM BST, will feature Noa Gruman’s captivating vocals—spanning gentle purity to operatic power and guttural growls—alongside Ross Jennings and surprise guests. Expect insights into the album’s creation, including the epic “Touch of Life” video shot earlier this year, and an acoustic set that reimagines Souls tracks. Hellscore, Noa’s acclaimed metal choir known for collaborations with Epica, Amorphis, and Therion, will add their signature intensity.

With a legacy of innovation and Noa Gruman’s guest spots on albums by Amorphis, Ayreon, and Gloryhammer, Souls is poised to be a genre milestone. Don’t miss the livestream tonight to witness Scardust’s next chapter unfold live.
