Marshall Made of Loud Tour Hits 16 UK Venues This October

Marshall has launched the Marshall Made of Loud Tour, a live-music run that pairs gigs with direct investment in independent venues.

The tour visits 16 grassroots rooms from Dover to Glasgow between 12 and 31 October, featuring Marshall Records artists Cancer Bats and Knives, plus Ignite. It lands alongside Cancer Bats’ new album Give Me Dirt and the 10th anniversary of Marshall Records.

Music Venue Trust’s 2025 annual report found 30 grassroots venues closed for good last year, and 175 UK towns and cities no longer get regular professional touring shows.

Venue investment

Marshall is paying for venue-led upgrades that stay after the trucks leave: dressing rooms, green rooms, backstage spaces, custom backdrops, branding and infrastructure.

Venues already named include The Joiners in Southampton, The Cavern in Exeter, The Fleece in Bristol and The Craufurd Arms in Milton Keynes.

Max Harvey, owner of the Craufurd Arms, said Marshall has long supplied kit and support for new bands, and that live music is “the lifeblood of our community.”

Nick Street, CMO at Marshall Group, said grassroots rooms are closing faster than they open, and that the tour funds upgrades that last. “Marshall would not exist without independent venues and the musicians who play them.”

Liam Cormier of Cancer Bats called it “the first ever MADE OF LOUD TOUR” and said the band are playing favourite cities in the rooms that keep the UK scene alive, with Ignite and Knives on the bill.

Knives pointed to Moles in Bath closing in 2023 — one of the first venues they ever played — as the reason the initiative matters.

A content series will follow the venues, staff and communities behind the Marshall Made of Loud Tour, under Marshall’s Keep Live Music Alive programme. Marshall says it will return after the run to check the long-term impact.

The tour ends with a Halloween show at London’s Electric Brixton on 31 October.
