Heading over to the legendary Ronnie James Dio main stage, Friday welcomes Edinburgh’s DVNE to the fold. Over more than a decade, they have meticulously built a progressive post-metal sound defined by ambition and atmosphere.

Saturday brings a ferocious double-whammy of heavy artillery. Perth metalcore favourites Make Them Suffer step up, bringing their signature blend of soaring synths, punishing screams, and dramatic orchestral flourishes. They’ll be sharing the turf with riff-obsessed veterans Dog Tired, who have spent over twenty years carving out a bulletproof reputation as one of Scotland’s most relentless underground metal exports.

Closing out the weekend additions for the main stage, Sunday welcomes deathcore mainstays Carnifex. If there is one thing guaranteed when Carnifex hits the boards, it is that the ensuing crowd activity will have a well-earned, chaotic reputation.

Bloodstock 2027 lineup : Sophie Lancaster Stage: Heavy, Fast, and Uncompromising

The ever-eclectic Sophie Lancaster stage is receiving an equally lethal injection of talent across the weekend.

Thursday kicks off the festivities with London desert rockers Steak, whose brooding, hook-laden stoner rock has anchored them as a staple of the UK heavy rock scene for over a decade. They are joined by Leeds sci-fi thrashers Cryptic Shift, who wrap technical thrash and death metal inside fully realised concept-album storytelling, and genre-hopping London trio Calva Louise, whose multicultural, multilingual dynamism has earned heavy backing from BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music.

Friday sees Slough thrashers Divine Chaos unleash a lethal fusion of traditional thrash and melodic death metal. They’re sharing the day with London hardcore crew False Reality, whose thrash-infused crossover sound has quickly made them one of the most talked-about names in the UK underground, alongside Northern Irish thrash veterans Gama Bomb, who are primed to deliver over two decades’ worth of high-speed riffs born from horror movies and pulp sci-fi with zero apologies.

Saturday on the Sophie stage dials the intensity right up. Brighton’s self-styled “brat metal” trio Eville inject a potent hit of nu-metal revivalism with a modern pop sensibility, while Ukrainian metalcore powerhouse Space of Variations fly in, having already been twice-crowned their home country’s best. They’re joined by Finland’s genre-bending Luna Kills, who cross alternative and nu-metal with electronics inspired by video game soundtracks. Transatlantic supergroup Spitting Glass also join the fray—a band that managed to sell out London’s Underworld and tear up the Dogtooth tent at Download before they had even released a single note. Rounding out Saturday are Atlanta deathcore outfit Left to Suffer, a band that hits with the blunt force of a wrecking ball combined with the precision of a surgeon.

Sunday brings the weekend home with a bruising finale. Cypriot thrash/death veterans Blynd bring over two decades of European touring experience to the table, while Norwegian black and Viking metal force Uburen draw deeply on old Norse history, folklore, and the literal translation of their name (“casting out”) to build an immersive, dark atmosphere. Finally, US genre-blurrers The Acacia Strain bring a crushing mix of existential metal, cosmic hardcore, doom, and sludge. There is truly no better way to close out the weekend than getting completely flattened by this lot.
