Marshall Hendrix 60th Anniversary

Marshall Hendrix 60th Anniversary Collection Completes With Major V, Emberton III and JMH Studio Amp

Marshall has unveiled the final chapter of its Marshall Hendrix 60th Anniversary collection, marking 60 years since Jimi Hendrix first plugged into a Marshall amplifier.

The latest drop reimagines the Major V headphones, Emberton III portable speaker and Studio Vintage amplifier in a distinctive cosmic-inspired aesthetic drawn from Hendrix’s music, art and use of colour.

The Collection

The story remains personal for the Hendrix family. In a statement accompanying the launch, they said Jimi was always searching for a sound that did not yet exist, and that Marshall gave him the power and freedom to turn those ideas into something the world had never heard before.

Hendrix 60th Anniversary Edition Major V
Marshall’s foldable on-ear headphones arrive in a sleek black finish with psychedelic graphics. A purple oil-on-water design runs through the inner headband and ear cups, finished with the all-seeing eye motif. They are priced at £129.99 and available now at marshall.com, with selected retailers from 9 September.

Hendrix 60th Anniversary Edition Emberton III
The same purple oil-on-water look continues across the sleeve and grille. The all-seeing eye appears in silver on the media jog, with purple LEDs. Each silicone sleeve is hand-dipped using a water transfer print, making every unit unique. More than a full day of playback is promised on a single charge. Priced at £149.99, it is available now at marshall.com and from selected retailers from 9 September.

Hendrix 60th Anniversary JMH Studio
Hand-built at Marshall’s factory in Bletchley, UK, this portable JMH Studio amp reworks the classic Studio Vintage design. It is built from plywood and wrapped in black Tolex, with a black-and-purple psychedelic pattern across the fret and control panel, purple LED indicator, and silver beading on the knobs, handle, logo, grille and back panel. The all-seeing eye badge sits on the top and bottom of the stack. The JMH Studio Edition Bundle is priced at £1,749.99 and available from 9 September via marshall.com and selected retailers.

This latest unveiling marks the final release in the Marshall Hendrix 60th Anniversary collection.

Rock News final word: The Marshall Hendrix 60th Anniversary drop is a visually bold close to the collaboration. The headphones and speaker will appeal to fans who want the look as much as the sound, while the limited JMH Studio amp is the serious piece for players who want a Hendrix-inspired Marshall they can actually use.
