Alice Cooper paid tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne during his sold-out concert at London’s O2 Arena on July 25, 2025, with a special performance featuring a surprise appearance by Johnny Depp. The event, held just days after Osbourne’s death, included a moving cover of Black Sabbath’s “Paranoid.” Watch the performance here!
A Tribute to a Rock Legend
Cooper, wearing an Ozzy Osbourne T-shirt, led the tribute to his fellow rock icon, who passed away on July 22, 2025, at age 76. The performance of “Paranoid” was a highlight, with Cooper raising his fist in a powerful farewell gesture as the crowd chanted “Ozzy, Ozzy.” He shared that the news of Osbourne’s death hit hard, even though it was anticipated due to his health struggles.

The concert, part of a double bill with Judas Priest, turned into a celebration of Osbourne’s legacy, blending nostalgia and respect. Cooper described Osbourne as a “beloved character” and a “lifer” in rock, reflecting their mutual respect built over years of shared performances.
Johnny Depp Joins the Stage
Midway through “Paranoid,” Johnny Depp, a longtime collaborator and Hollywood Vampires bandmate, joined Cooper onstage with a guitar. The actor’s unannounced appearance added a raw energy to the tribute, and he stayed for a rendition of “School’s Out” with original Alice Cooper band members Dennis Dunaway, Neal Smith, and Michael Bruce. The night also marked the release of Cooper’s new album, The Revenge of Alice Cooper.
