The Sex Pistols made a thunderous return to the stage as Paul Cook, Steve Jones, and Glen Matlock joined forces with Frank Carter for a secret gig at London’s legendary 100 Club on March 21, 2025. Performing under the historic alias “The SPOTS” (Sex Pistols Secretly On Tour), the band tore through their iconic album Never Mind the Bollocks in its entirety, reigniting the raw energy of punk rock.
Sex Pistols Secret Show: A Night of Punk Chaos at the 100 Club
When a mystery gig by “The SPOTS” was announced, true fans knew exactly what was coming. The intimate 300-capacity venue was packed with die-hard Sex Pistols followers, alongside rock royalty like Noel Gallagher, Paul Weller, Bobby Gillespie, Damon Hill, and Gary Kemp, all there to witness history in the making.
The night exploded with ‘Holidays in the Sun’ and ‘Seventeen’, with Carter immediately diving into the crowd—crowd-surfing, walking across outstretched hands, and belting out every lyric with the ferocity of a punk possessed. Midway through the set, they threw in the Sex Pistols’ blistering cover of The Monkees’ ‘(I’m Not Your) Steppin’ Stone’, before slowing things down (briefly) with ‘Submission’, as drummer Paul Cook quipped, “It’s getting hot out there, we’ll slow it down.”
But there was no slowing down for long. ‘No Feelings,’ ‘No Fun’ (The Stooges), ‘Problems,’ and ‘EMI’ sent the room into overdrive, culminating in a ferocious rendition of ‘Anarchy in the UK’, with the crowd screaming every word in unison.
Carter, fully embracing his role as the new frontman, declared: “From the bottom of my heart, thank you very much for coming out—it’s a dream come true.”

Sex Pistols 2025: Next Stop, Royal Albert Hall
After their electrifying 100 Club set, Paul Cook, Steve Jones, Glen Matlock, and Frank Carter will take the stage at the Royal Albert Hall on March 24, 2025, for a Teenage Cancer Trust benefit show. Fans can expect another full-throttle performance of Never Mind the Bollocks—from ‘Pretty Vacant’ to ‘God Save the Queen’—in a venue that’s as grand as the music itself.
Sex Pistols gigs have always been more than just concerts—they’re events, moments in history. This latest chapter proves that punk is far from dead.
