New Kit Trigg Single “Glass Ceiling” Out Now as Free ’N’ Easy EP Drops
Brecon skate-rock trio Kit Trigg have released their new Kit Trigg single “Glass Ceiling”, with a self-filmed video, ahead of EP Free ’N’ Easy on Friday 18 September.
It follows “Down To Earth”, which was voted Classic Rock Track of the Week. The band’s first headline UK tour starts this week.

About the song
“Glass Ceiling” is a harmony-heavy sing-along written about PTSD, anxiety and trauma. Kit Trigg said he had waited years to write it.
“Sometimes, everything we’re looking for is on the other side of something we’re afraid of. It’s almost like a signpost.
“I could never quite put into words such difficult and seemingly impossible feelings and then once I started pushing beyond what I thought was possible, I wrote all of the lyrics in about five minutes. The song is about overcoming post-traumatic stress disorder, which as other people will know can feel like quite an impossible thing. This song is a vehicle to remind us all, no matter what we are going through and although something may feel impossible – we can do it, one step at a time, outside the comfort zone.”
A planned outdoor video was rained off, so the band built a set in Kit’s garage and filmed it themselves. “Kind of ironic, considering this song is about overcoming obstacles.”

Headline tour
Honeybadger and Sam Millar split the supports. Kit said the set is “lethal and packed with our best songs old and new.”

Rock News final word: The new Kit Trigg single “Glass Ceiling” is the big-chorus one with a serious subject underneath. If “Down To Earth” got them the Classic Rock nod, this is the song they have been trying to write for years. Six headline rooms this month is the right size for a trio that still plays with no click and no tapes.
