What is Finally Home by Micah Martin about?

“Finally Home” is a powerful nu metal track built on dark, sinister electronics, a crushing rhythm and heavy riffs. Micah Martin’s wide-reaching and searingly honest vocals reach deep into his own psyche in search of salvation, while Hyro The Hero’s potent flow adds a motivational punch about rising from the ashes into something new and whole again.

Micah says of the song: “I’ve spent years writing songs about fighting through pain. ‘Finally Home’ is about making peace with the person you used to be. It isn’t a victory lap, it’s the moment you stop running from your scars and realize that healing isn’t about going back… it’s about becoming someone new. Hyro brings the fight, I bring the surrender, and together the song lives in the space between survival and acceptance. When that chorus hits with Hyro, it will make you feel like you’re finally home.”

That split between fight and surrender is what gives the single its shape. Rather than a straightforward tough-guy anthem, it is a song about acceptance, with the heaviness serving the emotion rather than drowning it out.

Who is Hyro The Hero?

Hyro The Hero is a rising rapper from Houston, and his flow is one of the two main voices on “Finally Home”. Micah describes the pairing in simple terms, with Hyro bringing the fight and himself bringing the surrender, and the two meet when the chorus hits. A rapper on a heavy electronic rock track is not an unusual idea in itself, but here the rap sits at the emotional centre of the song rather than being dropped in as a guest spot.

What is on Micah Martin’s debut album All I Need?

All I Need is out on 20 November 2026 through Create Music Group and runs to 17 tracks. It sits at an intersection that leads to a thrilling collision between electronic bass music and rock, metal and punk, and it is a cover-to-cover representation of Micah Martin, reflecting the punk, rock and metal worlds he came up in while bridging to his newer world of EDM. The Micah Martin debut album was first announced in July alongside the single “Burn Them All”, and “Finally Home” is the latest step in that rollout.

The full tracklist is:

  1. “Slip Away”
  2. “Close To The End”
  3. “All I Need”
  4. “Thrown Away”
  5. “Had Enough”
  6. “Tomorrow’s Over” (feat. HIGHSOCIETY)
  7. “I Need It”
  8. “Burn Them All” (feat. OddKidOut)
  9. “Nothing I Feel”
  10. “Mental Frequency”
  11. “I Need A Vacation”
  12. “Finally Home” (feat. Hyro The Hero)
  13. “VHS”
  14. “Outta My Head”
  15. “Your Eyes”
  16. “Never Meant” (feat. Flux Pavilion)
  17. “Holy Ground”

“Finally Home” sits at number twelve, directly before “VHS”, which makes sense, because the new single builds on the reflection found on that earlier release. “VHS” is a dark, bass-laden rocktronic track built around the memory of a slower and simpler world, and the two songs share the same themes of looking back at who you used to be.

Which other singles have come from All I Need?

The album has been rolled out with a run of very different songs, which tells you a lot about its range. Alongside “VHS”, the singles so far are the emotive pop punk anthem “Thrown Away”, the frenzied metal and drum and bass hybrid “Burn Them All” with OddKidOut, and the blistering rocktronic track “Tomorrow’s Over” with HIGHSOCIETY. Add “Finally Home” and you have a pop punk song, a drum and bass-metal hybrid, a bass-heavy electronic piece, a rocktronic banger and a nu metal rap collaboration, all from the same debut record.

It is a useful reminder that the crossover between heavy guitars and electronic production is wider than it used to be. Readers who enjoy that mix may also like the metalcore and 1980s synth atmospheres on the Monsters Are Human debut album, or the heavy collaboration on Electron’s new single “Taken”, featuring Skindred frontman Benji Webbe.

Who is Micah Martin?

Micah Martin has spent the last decade doing something few artists manage: moving credibly between the biggest names in electronic bass music and the punk rock and metal scenes he came up in. He first made his name fronting the rock band The Zealots, which he formed in 2014 in the Quad Cities between Iowa and Illinois. They went on the road opening for acts such as I Prevail, Memphis May Fire, Pop Evil, Theory of a Deadman and Drowning Pool. When the pandemic brought the band to a close in 2020, Micah channelled his rock-honed voice into electronic music.

Over the past ten years that voice has become an unmistakable force in the scene, featured on collaborations with SLANDER, Zomboy, Kayzo, PhaseOne, Rebelion and Sub Zero Project, and carried to stages including Red Rocks, The Hollywood Palladium, The Gorge, EDC Las Vegas and Orlando, and Lost Lands. Today he is a daily host on Insomniac Radio, anchoring its bass-focused IMPACT channel and BASSRUSH Radio since the platform launched at EDC Las Vegas 2025.

He has also stepped out as a DJ in his own right. After learning the craft in 2024, Micah took his first official gigs supporting RIOT on their 2025 “The Machine Tour”, including Grave Rave shows with Emo Nite in Dallas and at Academy LA, and a Montreal date with Loud x Clear, before supporting yetep on his 2026 album tour. He has since performed at Escapade Music Festival in Ottawa and made a headline New York debut at Brooklyn Meadows with ULTRA DNB. His debut rock EP, MICAH MARTIN, featured AJ of The Dangerous Summer and TJ Minor and marked the start of his own artist era, fusing soaring guitars and anthemic hooks with emotional storytelling.
