About the New Velveteen Queen Single

“Too Far Gone” bursts to life with an infectious rock ’n’ roll guitar riff before driving into crunching riffs and exploding into a large, anthemic chorus. The accompanying video, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Patric Ullaeus, captures the band’s high-energy stage presence.

The band described the track as: “A swagger Rock ’n’ Roll tune from our upcoming album. Down it, whip it, drink it and realize you’re Too Far Gone.”

The Greater Good

The Greater Good was produced by Sören Andersen and channels the strut of the Sunset Strip’s glory days with clear influences from Guns N’ Roses, Aerosmith, Velvet Revolver and Hanoi Rocks, filtered through a modern Swedish hard-rock lens.

Previous singles from the album include the title track “The Greater Good” (featuring Peter Keys of Lynyrd Skynyrd on piano) and “Adrenaline”, both also directed by Patric Ullaeus.

Velveteen Queen have already shared stages with Alice Cooper and Judas Priest and are rapidly building a reputation as one of the most exciting young acts in the modern rock scene, known for their explosive live performances and hook-laden songs.

Rock News final word: The new Velveteen Queen single “Too Far Gone” is a swaggering, anthemic rock track that plays to the band’s strengths. With The Greater Good arriving in September, Velveteen Queen continue to position themselves as one of the more promising new names in hard rock. Worth keeping an eye on.
