Yungblud Zombie Acoustic Version Released

Yungblud (Dominic Harrison) caps a monumental 2025 with the release of “Zombie (Acoustic)”. A stripped-back reimagining of his Grammy-nominated Best Rock Song from fourth album IDOLS (June 20, 2025, Capitol Records). The heart-wrenching ballad, written about his late grandmother’s battle with alcoholism and injury-induced trauma, now lays bare its emotional core with acoustic guitar and strings, accompanied by an intimate video directed by Jesse Jo Stark. Yungblud shares: “The song was written initially about my grandmother going through serious injury and trauma, leading her to become a different person to who she was before. It’s about the feeling of deterioration and ugliness; shutting out the world and the people we love out of the fear of becoming a burden or an embarrassment.”

The original “Zombie” – starring Florence Pugh in a “love letter to nurses” video (19M+ views) – anchors Yungblud’s three rock category nominations at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards (Feb 1, 2026): Best Rock Song (“Zombie”), Best Rock Album (IDOLS), and Best Rock Performance (“Changes” live from Villa Park Back to the Beginning concert). This marks the first time a British artist has swept all three rock noms in one year.

Fresh off collaborative EP One More Time with Aerosmith (Nov 2025) – debuting #9 Billboard 200, #1 Top Rock Albums/Indie Store Sales, and #1 UK Official Albums Chart (Yungblud’s second UK #1 of 2025) – plus a Lainey Wilson remix of “Wild Woman,” Yungblud gears up for massive 2026 tours.
