The Boojums Wings of Fire Ignites a Debut That’s Pure Nova Scotia Voltage

Port Hawkesbury’s loudest export has officially gone national. With the release of their scorching new single, The Boojums Wings of Fire, Nova Scotia trio The Boojums have lit the fuse on their self-titled debut album, dropping October 31 via Having Fun Records. It’s not just a release—it’s a riot.

The Boojums Wings of Fire Ignites a Debut That’s Pure Nova Scotia Voltage

Formed in late 2024, The Boojums built their buzz the punk way: uploading grainy VHS-style live sets to Reddit and Instagram, letting the fuzz do the talking. Their aesthetic is raw, their energy unfiltered, and their sound? A glorious collision of garage grit, power-pop hooks, and ‘70s arena-rock swagger. The Boojums Wings of Fire captures that ethos in full throttle.

The single is a high-octane anthem of escape and reckoning. “It’s about chasing something bigger before it disappears in the rearview,” says guitarist Willie Stratton. With snarling guitars and thunderous drums, Wings of Fire feels like a muscle car tearing through a dreamscape—gold on the engine, heartbreak in the rearview.

Their debut LP promises a stripped-down, emotionally charged ride through heartbreak, mortality, and small-town Nova Scotia. From filthy 8-string bass lines to wailing vocals, Wings of Fire sets the tone for a record that’s both nostalgic and vital.

Where to see The Boojums Wings Of Fire Live

Catch them live in Montreal, London, Hamburg, and Halifax this fall. If you need proof of their stage power, check out their VHS-style performances online—each one a chaotic love letter to rock’s rawest instincts. And yes, Wings of Fire hits even harder live.

With Having Fun Records backing their debut, and a growing cult following online, The Boojums Wings of Fire is poised to become one of 2025’s breakout rock moments. Pre-order the album now, and get ready to ride shotgun with Nova Scotia’s fiercest new voice.
