Iron Maiden to Finish Paris Film at Knebworth EDDFEST After Power Cut – Infinite Dreams Museum Details Revealed
Iron Maiden have confirmed that their upcoming cinematic concert film will now be completed at EDDFEST at Knebworth on 11 July 2026, following a major power cut that halted their Paris show midway through the set.
On 22 June, during a ferocious heatwave in Paris, Iron Maiden were performing at La Defense Arena in front of over 30,000 fans when a total power cut occurred around 50 minutes into the set, during ‘Two Minutes To Midnight’. The band were forced to stop and only returned to the stage after approximately an hour. Due to strict curfew rules, they were unable to play the planned encores of ‘Aces High’, ‘Fear Of The Dark’ and ‘Wasted Years’.
The band quickly decided to finish the filming at the special 50th Anniversary event at Knebworth, turning EDDFEST into a key part of the official concert movie.
Steve Harris said: “You all know what happened in Paris, we all know what happened in Paris, so we’re gonna finish it off at Knebworth, and we’ll see you there.”
Bruce Dickinson added: “We’re not going to lose what we did in Paris but we’re going to add to it with some amazing stuff from Knebworth. So Knebworth, be on ya best behaviour!!”
Infinite Dreams Museum Experience
Further details have also been revealed about the Infinite Dreams Museum, which will bring last year’s pictorial book to life with over 50 real items from almost 50 years of Maiden history.
Highlights on display will include:
- The iconic pharaoh’s head from the World Slavery Tour
- Eddie’s ray-gun from Somewhere On Tour (1986)
- The X-Factor electric chair
- Tank commander Eddie from the A Matter of Life & Death Tour
- Baphomet from ‘Number Of The Beast’
- The ‘Phantom of the Opera’ organ from the Maiden England tour
- Personal mementoes from the Paul Di’Anno era onwards
Manager Rod Smallwood said: “We’ve raided Eddie’s Archive, Steve’s garden and our very own offices, warehouses and homes to bring you some actual pieces of our history! More than 50 items from almost 50 years of history will be on display… This weekend is for you, our fans, we are trying to do something special and a bit different in celebration of 50 years.”
