Tiger Island Announce Debut Album Let’s Go Out – Out June 19 2026 on Reckless Yes

Yorkshire five-piece garage-punks Tiger Island have signed to ethical independent label Reckless Yes and announced their debut album Let’s Go Out, set for release on Friday 19 June 2026.

The album will be available on 12” standard weight splatter vinyl, CD and digital formats. Pre-orders are open now.

Influenced by the raw rock ‘n’ roll spirit of Hot Snakes, Murder City Devils and Wipers, alongside the synthy power pop glam of The Cars, B-52s and Blondie, the record is a warp-speed ride through ten songs in under 31 minutes — blending garagey grime with power pop gloss.

The band say: “Let’s Go Out is a celebration of beautifully messy humanity, community and connection. If you’re tempted to stay home and scroll, this record will drag you off the sofa by your ankles, slap you round the face, stick you in an Uber and make sure you have the greatest night of your life.”

Lead single “Find Out Who You Are (And Do It On Purpose)” (inspired by Dolly Parton) is released digitally on 1 May 2026.

About the Album

The record explores the importance of going out and engaging with the world — from party anthems like “Guilty Pleasures” and “Comments Boy” to deeper tracks about grief (“Co-Pilots”), mental health (“Meet Me At Midnight”), toxic relationships, isolation and the horrors of tech bro culture.

It follows their 2024 self-released EP Looka Looka Looka and the track “Bad Women” on the Reckless Yes compilation Among The Wildflowers (2025). The album was recorded with Ross Halden at Hohm Studios in Bradford, with additional recording at guitarist Matt Colmer’s studio in Shipley.

Label Signing

On signing to Reckless Yes, Tiger Island said: “We’re made up to be joining Reckless Yes! We were really excited to be featured on the awesome Among The Wildflowers compilation, and we loved Pete and Sarah’s ethos and enthusiasm from the get-go.”

Label co-founder Sarah Lay added: “We knew we were ready to open the next chapter of Reckless Yes when we saw Tiger Island play in Sheffield. Frenetic, fierce, and funny they have a rock snarl and pop sensibilities.”
