Tiger Island Release New Single “Find Out Who You Are (And Do It On Purpose)” – From Debut Album Let’s Go Out Out June 2026

Yorkshire five-piece garage-punks Tiger Island have released their swaggering new single “Find Out Who You Are (And Do It On Purpose)” – the latest preview of their highly anticipated debut album Let’s Go Out, set for release in June 2026 via Reckless Yes.

The single is out now and comes with a brilliantly weird, Scooby Doo-style music video directed by upcoming filmmaker Fin Costello (Chumbawamba, Fig By Four).

Inspired by Dolly Parton’s famous quote, the track is a defiant anthem about embracing your true self and letting your freak flag fly. The band explain: “We spend our lives conforming to social codes that aren’t always helpful and can even be harmful. Many of us will waste years chasing other people’s goals and standards, trying to squeeze ourselves into boxes that just don’t fit.

This song wonders what happens when we put all of that in the bin and really let go. Who would we become?”

The video was shot using green screen in an old Sainsbury’s unit in Bingley, West Yorkshire, with Fin Costello spending six months hand-building and filming the detailed haunted amusement park scenery and monsters at his home in Leeds. The result is a gloriously creepy, Aardman-esque caper featuring zombie hands, a flame-throwing clown and a mischievous skeleton.
