Sex Pistols Featuring Frank Carter Announce “Anarchy In The UK Tour”
A definitive sound in rock since 1976 and one of the most important bands in music history, the Sex Pistols are celebrating 50 years of punk this winter with a special run of shows.
Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Glen Matlock – the original powerhouse rhythm section – once again join forces with Frank Carter for what promises to be one of the greatest nights out in rock ‘n’ roll and the closest thing to the original punk experience there is.

The Anarchy In The UK Tour hits five cities in December 2026:
- Monday 7 December – 3Arena, Dublin
- Wednesday 9 December – Corn Exchange, Edinburgh
- Thursday 10 December – O2 Academy, Glasgow
- Friday 18 December – Brixton Academy, London
- Sunday 20 December – Eventim Apollo, London
Tickets go on general sale Friday 27 February at 9am via Live Nation.
Why These Shows Will Be Historic
The Guardian called the current line-up a “rip-roaring punk rock redux”, The i said it was “full throttle pure punk”, and Louder declared: “With Frank Carter up front, the Sex Pistols sound like the world’s greatest punk band once more.”
The Standard raved: “They sounded like the slickest garage band you’ve ever heard.”
Frank Carter (formerly of Gallows and Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes) has breathed new fire into the Pistols’ legendary songs, delivering chaotic, celebratory shows that have torn venues apart from Australia to Japan, European festivals, and a landmark night at London’s Royal Albert Hall for Teenage Cancer Trust.
Steve Jones sums it up perfectly: “If it ain’t fun, I ain’t doing it. I’m too old for bullshit.”
50 Years of Punk – The Story Continues
1976 was punk’s year zero. The Sex Pistols lit the fuse with gigs at The Marquee, 100 Club, Nashville, and a chaotic UK tour that changed music forever. Their June 1976 Manchester shows inspired Joy Division, The Smiths, Buzzcocks and more. By October they had released “Anarchy in the UK” and the rest is history.
Paul Cook remembers: “It was kind of like a commando raid… The message was pretty simple – just have a go and get out there and do whatever you want to do.”
Now, in 2026, the band are back to mark the 50th anniversary in the only way they know how – loud, live, and full of attitude.
