District X Unleashed: 90s Icons, Secret Sets, and “Nic Cage Against The Machine” Join Download 2026!
The “ultimate playground” of Download Festival just got a lot more chaotic. Organisers have officially pulled back the curtain on the District X lineup for 2026, and it’s a wild cocktail of nostalgia, heavy hitters, and pure absurdity.

The Headliners of the Night
District X isn’t just a campsite side-show; it’s the nocturnal heartbeat of Donington Park. Leading the charge this year is a move no one saw coming: 90s boyband royalty Five will make their Download debut. Expect a surreal, high-energy singalong that only the Download family could pull off.
Joining them in the top tier:
- Electric Six: Bringing “Gay Bar” and “Danger! High Voltage” to the late-night crowd.
- The All-American Rejects: Trading the distortion for a rare, intimate acoustic set.
- Bat Sabbath: The legendary Black Sabbath tribute by the Cancer Bats.
The Weird, The Wired, and The Wonderful
If you like your festival experience with a side of “Wait, is that real?”, District X has you covered. The 2026 roster includes:
- Nic Cage Against The Machine: A Rage tribute band fronted by a Nicolas Cage impersonator (yes, really).
- TokenGrass: A bluegrass tribute to Sleep Token.
- James B. Partridge: Taking us back to assembly with Primary School Bangers.
- Dick & Dom: The legendary duo returns for a massive DJ set.
DJ Sets & Late Night Anthems
When the main stages go dark, the decks stay hot. This year features DJ sets from:
- Creeper
- Modestep
- Lucas Woodland (Holding Absence)
- Liam Cormier (Cancer Bats)
- Sophie K & Alex Baker

Beyond the Music
District X remains the home of alternative entertainment with a stacked schedule of:
- Live Comedy: Presented by the world-famous The Comedy Store.
- Live Podcasts: Including ADHD Love, Sappenin’, and The Metal Roundup.
- The Classics: Bongo’s Bingo, Heavy Metal Sports, Live Band Karaoke, and the legendary Silent Disco every single night.
The Quick Stats
- When: 10–14 June 2026
- Where: Donington Park
- Main Arena Headliners: Limp Bizkit, Guns N’ Roses, and Linkin Park.
- Ticket Status: Weekend camping is sold out, but limited day and arena tickets remain!
Whether you’re there for the mosh pits or the “Primary School Bangers,” District X is shaping up to be the most unhinged year yet.
Which set are you most likely to be found at at 1 AM?
