The Interrupters Tease New Album Set to Follow In the Wild | Fifth Studio Release Coming Soon

The Interrupters Tease New Album

Los Angeles-based ska-punk trailblazers The Interrupters have confirmed they are working on their fifth studio album, the highly anticipated follow-up to their 2022 release In the Wild. With no official release date yet, the band has hinted at “more news soon” and the possibility of premiering new material during upcoming live shows, sparking excitement among fans—especially for me, as one of my all-time favorite bands, and I personally cannot wait for this release!

A New Chapter After In the Wild

Since forming in 2011, The Interrupters—comprising vocalist Aimee Interrupter, guitarist Kevin Bivona, bassist Justin Bivona, and drummer Jesse Bivona—have built a reputation with four acclaimed albums, including their self-titled debut (2014), Say It Out Loud (2016), Fight the Good Fight (2018), and In the Wild (2022). The latest, produced by Kevin Bivona during lockdown, showcased Aimee’s personal journey through mental health and resilience, featuring collaborations with Tim Armstrong, Rhoda Dakar, Hepcat, and The Skints. Now, three years later, the band is back in the studio, promising another evolution of their high-energy ska-punk sound.

What to Expect

While details remain under wraps, the band’s history suggests a mix of catchy hooks, confrontational lyrics, and genre-blending influences from 2 Tone to reggae. Aimee’s introspective songwriting, honed through past albums, could deepen with this release, especially after In the Wild’s personal narrative. Fans on social platforms are buzzing about potential live previews, with the band’s relentless touring spirit—seen with acts like Rancid and Green Day—hinting at a vibrant rollout. As a longtime fan, I’m thrilled at the prospect of new tracks!

As ska-punk enjoys a resurgence, The Interrupters’ new album arrives as a pivotal moment, building on their role in re-popularizing the genre. With their DIY ethos and fan-focused approach, this release could cement their status as modern punk icons—and for me, it’s an eagerly awaited addition to their legacy.

Stay tuned for updates and get ready for what promises to be another unforgettable chapter from The Interrupters.
