Finnish Rockers Headline War-Torn Event, Donate Surgical Instruments—Watch ‘The Rasmus in Ukraine’ Film

The Rasmus, Finland’s 6x Platinum and 8x Gold-certified rock icons, raised over $84,000 (3.5 million hryvnias) for Okhmatdyt National Children’s Specialized Hospital at the Atlas Festival in Ukraine on July 19, 2025. As the headliner and only foreign artist at the Blockbuster Mall event, the band—Lauri Ylönen (vocals), Emppu Suhonen (guitars), Eero Heinonen (bass), Aki Hakala (drums)—partnered with Good Donations to fund German surgical kits, handed over on September 25, 2025. Today, September 26, 2025, they released the short documentary “The Rasmus in Ukraine” HERE, with YouTube proceeds benefiting the charity. Amid their Weirdo Tour, this act of solidarity highlights their global impact.

Atlas Festival: A Beacon in War-Torn Ukraine

Over 110,000 attendees braved the risks at Atlas Festival, with a comprehensive security system for rapid evacuation. Ylönen said, “It’s scary playing in war, but we want to support Ukraine—we have a massive fanbase there, and we’ve done a song with Kalush Orchestra.” The band performed, hosted autograph sessions, and raffled merch, raising funds turned into vital equipment for the hospital treating children amid conflict. Good Donations thanked, “Together, we gave doctors instruments that give children a chance at life.”
