Tony Iommi Stormwatcher Single Out Now From From The Dark
Tony Iommi Stormwatcher is out today — the new single from From The Dark, due 23 October on BMG.
It is built on an Iommi riff, as you would expect. The story is a ship in a storm. Jørn Lande’s lyric treats the voyage as a life: birth to death and past it, you as captain, the water not asking if you are ready. “We are the captain of our own vessel,” he said, “always navigating forward, steering steady through every storm.”
The animated video follows that image rather than a performance clip.

Lande sings and shares writing credits on every song. Becky Baldwin is on bass, Karl Brazil on drums. Tony co-produced with Mike Exeter, the partner who has been on this work for years.
Tony Iommi Stormwatcher sits at track five, after the first single “World Alone”. The full running order:
- Over The Violent Sun
- Black Times
- World Alone
- Beyond The Dead
- Stormwatcher
- Death Wake
- Return Of The Arbalist
- Legacy
Deluxe CD adds “Scent Of Dark” and “Deified”.
This is Iommi’s own record, not a Sabbath reunion by another name. The riff language is still his. Tony Iommi Stormwatcher is the maritime one.

Rock News final word: Tony Iommi Stormwatcher is the second proper look at From The Dark after “World Alone”. If you wanted the Sabbath architect writing with a singer who can actually ride those lines, this is the lane. Album is three weeks away.
