Parker Barrow UK Tour Adds Wood Burnt Red as Special Guests

Nashville southern rockers Parker Barrow have added UK band Wood Burnt Red as special guests on their November and December Parker Barrow UK tour.

Tickets are on sale via Planet Rock Tickets, The Gig Cartel and Parker Barrow.

The announcement comes with Parker Barrow’s cover of The Black Crowes’ “My Morning Song”, taken from second album Hold The Mash. The track is on Spotify now.

Hold The Mash

Hold The Mash folds in last year’s EP cuts — “Make It”, “Novocaine”, “The Healer”, “Glass Eyes Cryin’” — plus newer songs including “Nothin’ Left To Save” and “Ruby’s Reckoning”.

Megan Kane (vocals) and Dylan Turner (drums) lead the band, named after Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow. Guitarist and musical director Alex Bender joined full-time in 2023, with Will Tipton (guitar), Kyle Priber (bass) and Eric Safka (keys). Debut Jukebox Gypsies (2023) and the Planet Rock staples “Make It”, “Blinded” and “Nothing Left To Save” built the UK following. They recently supported Blackberry Smoke in the US.

Wood Burnt Red

Worcestershire four-piece Wood Burnt Red are out on debut album Hold On Tight, with singles “Fire Me Up” and “Best Things” getting heavy Planet Rock play. Country-rooted, southern-rock driven, built on real-life songs rather than a costume.

Blues Magazine, Get Ready To Rock and The Sound Cafe have all backed the record. Pairing them with Parker Barrow on a Parker Barrow UK tour is the obvious bill: same lane, two sides of the Atlantic.

Rock News final word: The Parker Barrow UK tour already made sense after Hold The Mash. Wood Burnt Red on the same nights makes it a proper double-header, not a filler support. “My Morning Song” is the extra for Crowes fans walking in.
