FAQs – Parker Barrow “Blinded” & Hold the Mash Album 2026

“Blinded” was written by drummer and founder Dylan Turner along with guitarist and musical director Alex Bender. Bender comments: “It was one of the first tracks written and recorded for the new album. It helped to give a bit of direction to where we hoped to go with the tracks that were to follow. The main riff sounds very Stonesy. I approached the rhythm guitar parts how I would imagine Keith Richards would play them if he was in the band. Blinded is a good example of the less is more approach where the beauty lies in its simplicity.”

Turner adds about the lyrics: “It’s so easy for us as musicians to be enthralled by the world we live in, seeking validation from likes and comments that feed the flesh rather than the spirit. I wrote this as a reminder to myself to first seek the kingdom and to not forget the bigger purpose.”

About the Album Hold the Mash

Hold the Mash will be released on Friday 17 July 2026. The album includes tracks from last year’s Hold the Mash E.P. (“Make It”, “Novocaine”, “The Healer”, “Glass Eyes Cryin’”) alongside four brand-new songs.

Pre-order Hold the Mash now (CD, vinyl and digital formats available).

Parker Barrow are led by the husband-and-wife duo of Megan Kane (lead vocals) and Dylan Turner (drums). The current lineup also features Alex Bender (guitar/musical director), Will Tipton (guitar), Kyle Priber (bass) and Eric Safka (keyboards).

Their signature “vintage-shop rock” sound draws from the Rolling Stones, Blackberry Smoke, Allman Brothers Band, Aerosmith, Tedeschi Trucks Band, the Black Crowes, Whiskey Myers and Led Zeppelin — delivered with modern swagger and soul.

2026 Tour

Parker Barrow will spend much of the summer on the road in the U.S. before heading to the U.K. in July for their first headline tour, plus performances at Steelhouse Festival and Maid of Stone Festival.
