Mason Hill World So Wonderful Album Set for 23 October Plus November UK Tour

Glasgow rockers Mason Hill will release Mason Hill World So Wonderful on 23 October via 7Hz Productions.

The record

Bassist Matt Ward said a couple of years ago the album looked impossible. “This album is the next step in the evolution of Mason Hill, it’s more fierce, more refined, and hungrier than ever. This one is for everyone that kept believing in Mason Hill.”

Vocalist Tom Ward, who came in after Scott Taylor left at the end of 2023, called the writing relationship with the rest of the band a reset. “Coming into this as a newbie, working with Dan Weller was an amazing experience, he really helped me unlock my own style.”

Guitarist James Bird said they were close to packing it in before Tom joined. Ten years in, Mason Hill have had botched deals, a six-year gap after the 2015 debut EP, and Against The Wall landing in Covid with no tour. “The new music was obviously still Mason Hill, but we didn’t want it to be a copy of the first album. This is who we are now.”

The band hit the road in November around the album, including a sold-out support with Skindred at Glasgow Barrowlands.
