Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) has officially cancelled their final concert scheduled for today at BST Hyde Park, London, marking the end of their “Over and Out” farewell tour. Frontman Jeff Lynne, heartbroken over the decision, announced he cannot perform due to a systemic infection, with doctors advising against it and ruling out rescheduling.

Heartbreaking Announcement from Jeff Lynne

Jeff Lynne is heartbroken to report that he will not be able to perform at tomorrow’s BST Hyde Park show. Jeff has been battling a systemic infection and is currently in the care of a team of doctors who have advised him that performing is simply not possible at this time nor will he be able to reschedule. The legacy of the band and his longtime fans are foremost in Jeff’s mind today – and while he is so sorry that he cannot perform, he knows that he must focus on his health and rehabilitation at this time.

Recent Health Challenges and Manchester Cancellation

The cancellation follows a last-minute pullout of their Manchester gig on July 10, 2025, due to similar health concerns, heightening worries among fans. The BST Hyde Park event, set to feature support acts like The Doobie Brothers, Steve Winwood, and Dhani Harrison, was billed as ELO’s swan song after 55 years, with Lynne citing the venue’s significance from his 2014 comeback.

Impact on Fans and Refund Details

Ticket holders will receive full refunds, with details from their ticket agents. This marks a poignant end to ELO’s live legacy, leaving fans hopeful for Lynne’s recovery. We were looking forward to bringing you a review of this historic event but at this will we would just like to wish Jeff a speedy recovery.
