MAMMOTH is back, and Wolfgang Van Halen just dropped the sonic equivalent of a mic drop. With the explosive new single “The End”, released via J&R Adventures, Van Halen delivers a full-throttle, emotionally charged anthem that sets the tone for what’s to come on the upcoming album The End. “It’s still over-the-top and shreddy, but it’s also melodic and controlled,” says Wolfgang. “Once we finished ‘The End,’ it felt really special to me.”
The track, co-produced with longtime collaborator Michael “Elvis” Baskette, opens with Wolfgang’s signature guitar tap intro and explodes into a chorus packed with arena-sized vocals and an emotional punch: “Take your hand in mine and watch the end with me.” It’s Van Halen’s most anthemic offering yet—crafted with the care of a perfectionist and the heart of a lifelong rock disciple.

Hollywood Meets Heavy: “The End” Video Redefines Rock Visuals
In true Wolfgang style, the music video for “The End” is nothing short of cinematic. Directed by Robert Rodriguez (From Dusk Till Dawn, Desperado) and featuring monster effects from Greg Nicotero (The Walking Dead), the short film is a blood-pumping homage to cult horror.
The star-studded cast includes Danny Trejo, Slash, Myles Kennedy, and even Wolfgang’s mother, Valerie Bertinelli. The storyline? A band ignores a grim warning and walks into a gig from hell—literally. Vampires, zombies, werewolves—you name it. It’s a high-stakes, high-octane ride that captures the spirit of MAMMOTH perfectly: dramatic, powerful, and unforgettable.~
UK Show with Black Sabbath + US Headline Tour
UK fans get a rare opportunity to see Wolfgang Van Halen live in Birmingham on July 5th as part of Black Sabbath’s “Back to the Beginning” final concert at Villa Park. It’s the only UK date announced so far—and a historic one at that.
Following the single’s release, Wolfgang also announced The End Tour, a five-week headlining run across the USA kicking off October 31st. Special guest Myles Kennedy joins the lineup, making this one of the must-see rock tours of 2025.
