Effervescent pop-rockers The Hot Damn! Have shared a glimpse of what’s to come on their upcoming album with brand new video DAMN!DAMN!DAMN!DAMN! available now at YouTube.
Fresh from their recent antics across the UK supporting Black Spiders, the feisty foursome are hitting the road for some headline shows of their own kicking off in Frome on Friday 3rd November, delighting Birmingham on Saturday 4th before playing a “hometown”(ish) show in Reading on 5th November. The tour then picks up again on 17th November in Sheffield, calling into Edinburgh (supporting Warrior Soul) and winding up at the band’s spiritual home of Blackpool on 19th.
The new video for DAMN!DAMN!DAMN!DAMN! demonstrates the band’s versatility and musicality. Departing from the jubilant cheer of earlier releases, it’s a fresh and heavy bass-driven sound with dualling guitar harmonies, frantic cowbell and fierce vocals. Someone’s PISSED.
Frontwoman Gill Montgomery comments:
“Buckle up, buttercups, we have a juicy new earworm ready to bury into your ear canals and set up camp for the winter! Introducing “DAMN! DAMN! DAMN! DAMN!”
Swapping our live-laugh-lovely attitude for another favourite emotion… rage. We want to show off our entire spectrum with different flavours. D!D!D!D! is a heavier vibe with plenty of gusto, grit and enough cowbell to summon a unicorn. Combined with a fist pumping, bar bending, camera kicking, swan stomping, cannon popping, teddy grabbing, fretboard licking video to boot, we are incredibly excited for this killer ear baby to invade your personal space.”
Drummer Josie O’Toole adds:
“2023 has been a truly epic year for us – we’ve recorded our debut album and completed two killer support tours with Hayseed Dixie and Black Spiders so we’re really excited to get back out there for a few headline shows to really unleash the full unhinged-unabridged-unapologetic Hot Damn! Experience. Buckle up, buttercups, indeed!!”
Formed from the ashes of The Amorettes and Tequila Mockingbyrd, The Hot Damn! burst on to the UK circuit in 2021 and have since been riding the airwaves of Planet Rock, Kerrang! and BBC Introducing thanks to catchy-as-anything singles ‘Dance Around’, ‘I Didn’t Like You Anyway’ and ‘Live Laugh Love’. Armed with witty lyrics, fat harmonies and party cannons galore, they have completed multiple UK tours as well as making memorable appearances at Steelhouse, Stonedead and Maid of Stone festivals. Never ones to rest on their laurels, they have recently been announced as special guests to US legendary rockers Fozzy on their upcoming February 2024 tour.
