Metal of Honor: An Interview with Liliac

Buzzing with excitement & anticipation, I recently got the honor of chatting with a few members of a metal family ensemble called Liliac. I was beyond giddy (and actually found myself battling a few nerves which is unusual for me) as I sat down with Samuel (Lead guitar), Abigail (Drummer), and Melody (Lead Vocals) Cristea. Absent was Ethan (Rhythm Guitar), & Keyboardist Justin Cristea for good reason due to the fact that they are still of school age! No harm no foul for getting a good education in. Liliac is also managed & produced by Florin Cristea who is the ensemble’s Dad.

As we chatted, I was able to uncover the bands origins in playing free public gigs & growing up with a solid foundation of relatable musical idols. With two cover albums already under their belt, Liliac boasts a number one bestseller EP on Amazon’s rock charts called Chain of Thorns and an album of 13 originals called Queen of Hearts that reached #29 on iTunes chart listings. Liliac has exploded onto the social media scene with more than 300K Facebook followers, 122K Instagram followers, and Tik Tok videos that are soaring to over 1 Million views. The mix of youthful talent, amazing family values, pure, unadulterated & inspired metal, makes Liliac a must see. Get to know this musically motivated family & what makes them tick in our Liliac Interview below.

I am not easily impressed by new bands, however “Liliac” isn’t just any new band, you all have that magic, like Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, DIO, and so many more. The energy you bring to your video’s and the stage are explosive! Keep it up!
