BLACK STONE CHERRY

Kentucky Rockers Unveil Hard-Hitting Anthem and Tease Soulful Six-Track Gem via Mascot Records

Black Stone Cherry, Kentucky’s hard rock heart and soul, have unleashed their new single “Neon Eyes”, alongside the announcement of their upcoming EP, Celebrate, set for release on March 6, 2026, via Mascot Records. Riding high from a banner year of #1 Active Rock singles and sold-out tours with Creed and Disturbed, the band pairs the explosive track with a music video. Pre-order/pre-save Celebrate HERE and dive into the unfiltered rock ‘n’ roll revival!

Neon Eyes: A Thumping Party-Starter

“Neon Eyes”, born from a soundcheck riff, is a classic BSC banger—thumping rhythms, searing riffs, and lyrics that transform somber themes into empowering anthems. The music video, filmed at the 2025 Maid of Stone Festival in the UK, captures a “day in the life” of the band: backstage prep, fan mingling, and a high-voltage performance that ends with magical moments (watch to the end!). As the band notes, “We knew we wanted the main riff to be the chorus—everything fell into place.” Stream HERE and pre-order the EP HERE.

Celebrate EP: Contrasts and Heart

Celebrate, recorded at High Street Studios in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and produced by the band, embodies their ethos: “Old friends with an instinctive sense for what each other is feeling.” The six-track EP mixes muscular hooks with raw soul, capturing happiness and heartache from four men nearing 40 (two parents). Highlights include:

  • “I’m Fine”: A dreamy, Nirvana-laced grunge singalong.
  • “Deep”: A searing mid-tempo heartache ballad, inspired by Ben Wells’ personal loss (miscarriage).
  • “Don’t You (Forget About Me)”: A strapping cover of Simple Minds, featuring Tyler Connolly of Theory of a Deadman.

As Chris Robertson explains, “Any piece of art is a snapshot of that artist’s life.” Ben Wells adds, “None of us are precious—we’re all fighting on the same team.” The EP closes with Connolly’s guest vocals, a “happy pairing” with Robertson’s soulful gravel.

Black Stone Cherry: A Band of Brothers

Since 2001, Black Stone CherryChris Robertson (vocals/guitar), Ben Wells (guitar), Eric Friedman (guitar), John Fred Young (drums), and George Gettin (bass)—have fused rock, metal, roots, blues, soul, and hip hop. With over 2 million albums sold and hits like “White Thunder”, they’ve packed arenas worldwide. 2025 brought #1 Active Rock singles and tours with Creed and Disturbed, plus a standout Maid of Stone Festival set. Maximum Volume Music hails them as “arguably the best rock ‘n’ roll band around right now.”
