Iconic alternative rock band The Smashing Pumpkins have announced their long-awaited India debut as part of their Rock Invasion 2025 Asia Tour, marking a historic moment for rock enthusiasts. The band will perform for the first time in India with shows scheduled for October 11 at Transform Arena in Bengaluru and October 12 at Jio World Garden in Mumbai. Presented by EVA Live, this two-city tour kicks off a two-month Asian leg starting in Japan this September, promising an unforgettable experience for fans.
A Milestone Tour Across Asia
The Rock Invasion 2025 Asia Tour marks the band’s first full-scale tour of the region in over a decade, with their last visits dating back 12 years in Japan, 15 years in South Korea, and nearly 30 years in Thailand. The tour begins in September with stops in Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka, Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Busan, Manila, Bangkok, Jakarta, Singapore, Bahrain, and Abu Dhabi, making it the band’s first venture into India and the Middle East. The itinerary is subject to minor updates, but the band expressed their excitement, stating, “We’re thrilled to be finally coming to India, some 36 years after we started in Chicago. Our music has been unmistakably shaped by this great and mighty culture, and so it will be an honor to play for you—and loudly!”
What to Expect
Formed in Chicago in 1988, The Smashing Pumpkins, led by Billy Corgan, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlin, will bring a three-decade-spanning setlist featuring classics like “Tonight, Tonight,” “Bullet With Butterfly Wings,” and “1979,” alongside recent works from ATUM (2023) and Aghori Mhori Mei (2024). The band, joined by live members Jack Bates, Kiki Wong, and Katie Cole, promises a genre-defying performance blending their grunge roots with experimental textures. EVA Live’s Deepak Chaudhary, Founder and Managing Director, called it “a landmark achievement for the live music ecosystem in this country,” ensuring an unforgettable show.

Registrations are live on the District App, with pre-sale tickets exclusively available to Mastercard holders in two phases: Phase 1 from August 5 at 12 PM IST to August 7 at 12 PM IST on Priceless.com, and Phase 2 from August 7 at 12 PM IST to August 12 at 12 PM IST on the District App. General ticket sales begin August 12 at 4:30 PM IST, exclusively via District by Zomato. Mastercard holders can also access exclusive “Priceless Experiences” like artist moments and premium tickets.
