THE RASMUS Drops “Love Is A Bitch” Wildcard Track, Announces Weirdo Album and Tour

Finnish rock icons THE RASMUS released their bold new single “Love Is A Bitch” on July 11, 2025, via Better Noise Music and Playground Music, marking a standout moment ahead of their 11th studio album Weirdo, out September 12, 2025. The track, a sardonic take on toxic relationships, blends dark atmospheres with pop hooks and stadium-sized riffs. “Rock News” hails, “THE RASMUS’ ‘Love Is A Bitch’ sets 2025 rock ablaze!”
Wildcard Track and Lauri Ylönen’s Vision
“‘This song was always a wildcard,’” says singer Lauri Ylönen. “‘It never fit with the rest of the songs. Still, we thought it was a fun song to play and I’m glad we decided to put it on the album. Lyrically, it’s about someone who’s treating you like shit but is too good in bed to let go.’” The song, available to stream here and with a video here, follows singles “Break These Chains” (May 16, 508k+ views), “Creatures of Chaos” (March 28, 771k+ views), and “Rest In Pieces” (October 25, 2024, 620k+ views). Pre-orders and merchandise bundles are live here.

Weirdo Album: A Celebration of Outsiders
Weirdo, recorded with Desmond Child and Marti Fredriksen in Greece (2023 demos), Finland, and Nashville’s Sienna Studios, features mixes by Chris Baseford, Claudius Mittendorfer, and Joseph McQueen. Ylönen notes, “I find it comforting that our 11th album, Weirdo, has pretty much the same message as on our first album released in 1996… to defend and praise the ones who are different.” He adds, “I’ve been called a weirdo, misfit and a freak… It’s become my source of strength.” The tracklist includes:
- Creatures of Chaos
- Break These Chains
- Rest in Pieces
- Dead Ringer
- Weirdo
- Banksy
- Love Is a Bitch
- You Want It All
- Bad Things
- I’m Coming for You
Defiant Return to Ukraine and Global Tour

THE RASMUS will headline the Atlas Festival in Ukraine on July 19, 2025, their defiant return as the only foreign act, supporting war-torn regions with over 60,000 expected attendees and a robust security plan. Ylönen says, “It’s scary to play in the middle of war, but we want to show our support… We have a massive fanbase in Ukraine.” The “Weirdo Tour” follows, with the European leg from September 12 to December 6, 2025, and 2026 dates on sale July 17. Recent U.S. tours with The Funeral Portrait earned praise, like Melodicmag.com’s review of their Boston stop.
Finland’s Rock Royalty
As 6x Platinum and 8x Gold-certified Finland’s #1 rock band, THE RASMUS dominates Spotify, YouTube, Instagram, and Deezer. Their kaleidoscopic sound—heavy guitars, futuristic electronics, and pop hooks—has sold millions worldwide, with Weirdo poised to be their most impactful album yet.
