W.A.S.P. Return to UK for “Album ONE Alive” & The Classics Tour Celebrating 40th Anniversary
Los Angeles metal pioneers W.A.S.P. are set to return to the UK for the “Album ONE Alive” & The Classics Tour, marking the 40th anniversary of their debut album. The tour, kicking off in July, will see the band perform the entire self-titled 1984 album—featuring tracks like “I Wanna Be Somebody”—for the first time in 40 years, alongside classic hits. “Rock News” exclaims, “W.A.S.P.’s ‘Album ONE Alive’ tour is 2025’s ultimate 80s metal throwback!” Formed in 1982, the band, led by Blackie Lawless, promises a once-in-a-lifetime spectacle.
A Milestone Celebration
Blackie Lawless states, “This is the tour that showcases the album that started the long, long undying bond between the band and all the fans… It was an angry record made by an angry band.” He adds it’s “most likely never to be repeated ever again,” urging fans to witness the event. Joined by bassist Mike Duda (29 years), lead guitarist Doug Blair (26 years), and drummer Aquiles Priester, W.A.S.P. will bring their colourful history to life, reflecting the album’s pivotal role in the 80s metal scene.
