Luke Spiller’s Debut Solo Album is Coming!

Luke Spiller, the iconic frontman of The Struts, has officially announced his highly anticipated debut solo album, Love Will Probably Kill Me Before Cigarettes and Wine. 🎭 This cinematic and deeply personal record is set to drop on April 25th and is available for pre-order now! 💿✨

Alongside this exciting album announcement, Spiller has also released a brand-new single, The Ending Is Always The Same, via Big Machine Rock. The song explores the heartbreak of a love that feels impossible to escape.

Back in 2019, Spiller found himself questioning his next artistic step. After over a decade of success with The Struts, dominating global stages with their electrifying rock anthems, he started wondering what a more personal, theatrical sound might look like.

🎼 “It’s been a long time in the making,” Spiller admits.

Seeking a fresh creative challenge, he flipped his usual songwriting process on its head. Instead of starting with melodies, he began with poetry—pure, raw, and emotional self-expression. These lyrics evolved into the songs that make up Love Will Probably Kill Me Before Cigarettes and Wine, an album that blends cinematic grandeur with unfiltered emotion.

This epic debut record is filled with lush orchestration and James Bond soundtrack-worthy drama, documenting Spiller’s experiences of love, loss, and transformation since moving to Los Angeles.

🌟 The album takes listeners on an emotional rollercoaster, from the lush opener ‘Love Will Probably Kill Me Before Cigarettes and Wine’ to the heartfelt ballad ‘She’s Just Like California’, showcasing a more vulnerable, deeply personal side of the flamboyant frontman.

Working with Grammy-nominated producer Jon Levine (Sabrina Carpenter, Dua Lipa, Drake) and guitarist/producer Jason Falkner (St. Vincent, Air, Beck), Spiller has crafted 10 powerful tracks that push musical boundaries while staying true to his signature larger-than-life style.
