Guess who’s back It’s DANKO JONES MOTHERF**ER – Rescue Rooms gig review.

Jesus Christ, this band ROCKS HARD; this is no-holds-barred, in-your-face Rock ‘N Roll.
This gig has been a long time coming. We had tickets to see them at another venue in the city, The Bodega. However, the week before, the dreaded Covid struck, and that was the end of that. Now, they’re back, bigger and better than ever at The Rescue Rooms, and they did not disappoint.
They set ablaze The Rescue Rooms with an explosive performance. The Canadian trio brought their trademark fusion of hard rock and rock and roll to the stage, leaving the audience exhilarated and hungry for more.
The night kicked off with the pulsating beats of “Guess Who’s Back,” setting the stage for an unforgettable evening of unbridled energy. Danko’s sharp lyrics seamlessly intertwined with Rich’s commanding beats, crafting a sonic landscape that was both robust and melodic.

The banter between the songs was equally entertaining. Danko quipped, “They wanted us to play two sold-out nights at Rock City, but we said, ‘Fuck that; we would rather play the Rescue Rooms to 80 people who know how to Rock.'”
“Get high” followed, the crowd was instantly captivated by the band’s raw energy, igniting spontaneous moshing and enthusiastic sing-alongs.
“I love you,” shouts someone from the audience. “That makes two of us,” says Danko.
The band continued to deliver a barrage of hits, including “First date “I’m in band”,” and “Cadillac” Danko’s guitar mastery shone, and the band’s tight cohesion was evident in every performance.

When it came time for the encore, Danko said, “Thanks for participating in the sham; you knew we were coming back. It’s on the setlist; we would come back even if you had gone home.”
The adrenaline-fueled set reached its zenith with a thunderous rendition of “Shake Your City,” a classic Danko Jones anthem that had the entire crowd singing along at the top of their lungs. The band left the stage leaving the audience in a euphoric state and wanting more.
“We gave you 150%,” says Danko, and I can’t argue with that.

Danko Jones’ performance at The Rescue Rooms served as a powerful reminder of why they stand as one of the most electrifying bands globally. Their music, a potent blend of hard rock and rock and roll, coupled with their dynamic stage presence, solidifies them as an unstoppable force. For those seeking a night of wild and unforgettable fun, Danko Jones is the band to witness.
Don’t miss this band live.
