The Kut Rocks the Stage with a High-Energy Performance At Rescue Rooms Nottingham. Gig Review & Interview.

Rock royalty paid a visit to the rescue rooms this week in the form of blue haired songstress Princess Maha. The lead singer of The Kut arrived on the stage wearing a leather jacket covered in hundreds of studs and treated the venue to an eight-song set.

Joining Princess Maha on stage are bassist and backing vocalist Daisy Pepper and thumping away on the drums at the back of the stage is Violet. The large stage at Rescue rooms allowed the two guitarists to move around and strike some poses as they played their instruments. Playing “If Looks Could Kill” from the chart-topping album “The Grit” Maha moved to front of the stage and demonstrated some excellent guitar shredding during the songs instrumental break.

Another song from “The Grit” and well received from the crowd was “Fun When You Are Winning”. The song which was written for the 2022 Football World Cup was popular with the venues crowd with many nodding their heads and singing along with the band.

The Kut now energised from the crowd’s encouragement went on to confidently perform “Courage” and ”I Want Your Maniac”. Maha rocked out energetically to “Hollywood Rock And Roll” becoming a mass of blue flailing hair as she shook her head.
