REWS kicks of 2023 with a heartfelt and thought provoking new rock single “Misery”.
Infectiously energetic, empowering and badass are some of the words used to describe the dynamic melodic alternative rock/pop force, “REWS” helmed by the multi-instrumentalist Northern Irish songstress, Shauna Tohill and a revolving cast of musical friends.
Hot off the heels of a UK winter tour supporting noisy rockers Therapy?, REWS shows the world a more vulnerable and melancholic side to her craft through fervent new single, ‘Misery’, released via the Earache Records family.
REWS is building upon the success of her previous albums; ‘Pyro’ and ‘Warriors’, and single releases, which have led to critically acclaimed performances at Glastonbury Festival, 2000 Trees Festival, TT Races, Boardmasters, Isle of Wight (UK), NAMM and “She Rocks Awards”(LA), Mad Cool Festival (Spain), Music China (Shanghai), Eurosonic (Netherlands). REWS has also toured extensively across the globe independently and have provided support for legendary Therapy?, The Darkness and Halestorm.
REWS boast continuous support from Kerrang! Radio, BBC Radio 1, Amazing Radio, RTE 1, 2FM BBC Introducing, BBC Across The Line, Planet Rock, Radio Freccia (Italy), InterFM (Japan) and more. Previous singles have had TV spot plays on BBC1 & BBC2 including Rugby League: Challenge Cup & Women’s Cricket.
Latest single release ‘The World That You Left Behind’ has been championed in UK on BBC Radio 1 ‘Rock Show ‘with Alyx Holcombe and ‘Future Alternative’ with Nels Hylton, Amazing Radio UK and USA including Charlie Ashcrofts ‘Postcards from UK’ and Spotify Editorial Playlists ‘All New Rock’ and ‘New Music Friday France’.
