We were lucky enough to experience the amazing Kelsy Karter and her PINK KINK & PUNK tour this year. Every time we see Kelsy, she just gets better. She opened her set with her intro the classic “(I’ve Got a) Golden Ticket” from Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory followed by “Goodness Gracious” and it was clear that the night was going to be night to remember. The set included a new song, “Cover You” which was performed live for the first time. Kelsy also did a great cover of Blondie’s “Call Me” and ended the show with the now classic “Liquor Store On Mars”. To make the night even more special, Kelsy brought out Adam Slack to play the solo which he had written.

Kelsy Karter is an absolute joy to watch on stage. Her performance is captivating and you can’t help but be drawn in. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to experience this incredible band – you won’t regret it!

It’s time for the headliners Adam Slack and The Bangers, and it looks like Kelsy’s band reincarnated! ????. This annual event held over Christmas is always a treat, and this year it’s even more special. Instead of the usual Green Day tribute night, they’re playing their favourite songs from the 80s, 90s and beyond – it’s a real blast from the past! It’s clear to see that this is not your regular band, but a group of friends having a jam session and inviting the audience to join in the fun.

They kicked off their set with the Oasis classic “Rock and Roll Star”, a band that is clearly close to the heart of Adam. With everyone in the room singing along, the band then gave each member the chance to showcase their own songs. Guitarist Matt Peach treated us to two of his solo songs “Blue Skies” and his Christmas song “Rock and Roll Christmas”, which was written by his dad, Mr Peach senior. To make the moment even more special, Mr Peach senior then came out and played on the track! Halfway through the song, Dave (Adams personal roadie) added an extra bit of fun by spraying everyone with fake snow.

Tommy played “Girl Let’s Do It” from his old band House of Thieves. Adam surprised us when he covered the not-so-rock song “September” by Earth Wind and Fire. Kelsy returned the favor from her set and lent a helping hand with the vocals – It was wonderful to see them both work together and create something truly special.

Adam and the band ended their set with an incredible three song encore, finishing with The Struts‘ hit “Could have been me”. Adam’s heartfelt explanation of how this one song had changed his life and the lives of so many others was truly inspiring. You can watch the performance below – it’s definitely worth the watch!

If you find yourself in the vicinity of Derby during the festive season, you certainly won’t want to miss this gig! It’s sure to be an absolute blast – a perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit. So make sure you keep an eye out for it – you won’t regret it!
