KISS announce FINAL UK tour for June and July 2023.
KISS have announced their final UK tour dates for 2023 as part of their multi-year End of the Road World Tour.
Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer will open their six-date swansong UK tour with an outdoor concert at Plymouth Argyle Home Park on Saturday 3rd June.
KISS will then head indoors for arena shows in Birmingham, Newcastle, London and Manchester before saying goodbye to the UK for good at Glasgow OVO Hydro on Saturday 8th July.
“All that we have built and all that we have conquered over the past four decades could never have happened without the millions of people worldwide who’ve filled clubs, arenas and stadiums over those years,” KISS said.
“This will be the ultimate celebration for those who’ve seen us and a last chance for those who haven’t. KISS Army, we’re saying goodbye on our final tour with our biggest show yet and we’ll go out the same way we came in… Unapologetic and Unstoppable.”
Tickets to KISS’s final UK tour go on sale from Planet Rock Tickets at 10am on Friday 16th December.
The End of the Road World Tour previously featured a five-date UK arena tour in July 2019, and, following the pandemic, they headlined Download Festival this summer.
Appearing on My Planet Rocks in September, Gene Simmons told us he hoped KISS would play their last show at Liverpool’s Cavern Club in homage to his musical heroes The Beatles.
We’re not qualified to walk in (The Beatles’) shadows,” Simmons said. “But ‘homage’ is a good word. My knees would buckle at the thought of playing that very last show, maybe to a group of friends, at The Cavern Club.”
According to blurb promoting KISS’s new tour, as KISS announced their retirement in 2000, the tour now qualifies as the longest farewell in musical history. The band have vowed they “WILL” retire in 2023.
