Cassyette Download gig review – 2022.
Well it’s been a few years but we are finally back at Download and one of the artists we had to check out was Cassyette. The first thing I always do before going to a festival is look for the new up and coming artists, the next stadium filling artists. Cassyette popped out instantly. This one we could not miss.
Today Cassyette is on the second stage (OPUS) playing a 35 min set. I’ve had the Spotify playlist on repeat for the last week so I was really looking forward to this and I was not disappointed. One of the many highlight for me has be Mayhem, the crowd just loved it, singing along to a new classic, Cassy’s vocals are just perfect. If you get the chance you have to see her live, she is absolutely amazing, a true highlight of the day.
This week Cassyette won the Best UK Breakthrough Band at Heavy Metal awards.

Cassyette has amassed a cult social following with over 107k Instagram followers, 330k monthly Spotify listeners, and over 1.2million followers on TikTok. Having achieved over 10 million streams on Spotify alone and ongoing editorial support from Spotify and Apple, Cassyette has received praise from the likes of Radio 1’s Jack Saunders and Clara Amfo (Hottest Record In The World), Kerrang!, GIGWISE, MTV and Upset. Cassyette has received nominations for ‘Best British Breakthrough’ artist at both the Heavy Music Awards 2022 and the Kerrang Awards 2022. With influences ranging from her all-time favourite band, Motley Crue to Pink!; who she cites as the artist she most looks up to. There’s a generation of girls out there about to feel the same about Cassyette. Watch out world, she’s coming.
