Introducing Electric Pets with their debut single “Don’t Leave Me”
Introducing Electric Pets with their debut single “Don’t Leave Me” recorded at Ratcat Studios Derby and produced by Natt Webb. Who are Electric Pets? Electric Pets are a four-piece from Derby fronted by singer-songwriter Emma Buckley. They weave a rich tapestry of mature dark pop with a garage rock swagger. Unashamedly drawing influence from the foundations of rock ‘n’ roll history and framing it firmly with a twenty-first-century styling.
Judging from the brilliant first single there’s a lot of influence from 60’s Surf rock like The Surfaris. I can’t wait to see what comes next from this band.

Lead singer Emma Buckley says “This is not a love song. It’s a lover’s song. Not everyone needs love at every point in their lives, but we always need connection. It can be obvious or subtle, open or clandestine. It can be ‘usual’ or perhaps ‘unusual’, light or dark. This song tells a true story. An unusually dark, vulnerable connection between two lovers.”
You can catch Electric Pets live at YNOT Festival – Saturday 30th July at 6:45 pm. Get your tickets here.
