First up we have Chloe Ann coming from Leicester. Chloe has a great voice and delivered a great set, setting the stage, and warming up the crowd for Kelsy. Check out Chloe on Spotify here.

Next, we have Kenzo Cregan, coming all the way from California, it always amazes me how a band can travel all that way for a support slot in another country, but I’m glad they did. They played a great set of what could be described as pop rock, indie, or just great music. The bass player was entertaining performing in his dressing gown. Check out Kenzo Cregan on Spotify.

Now we have headliner Kelsy Karter. We have been following Kelsy for a few years now and watched her go from strength to strength. I first came across her supporting The Struts in the UK, and from the get go it was obvious this was someone that was going to be the one in a million that actually makes it. Since that day, I have often seen her playing small outdoor venues during the dark days of the lockdown. She has worked incredibly hard to get to this point putting out her addictive debut album “Missing Person” in 2020.

The intro music sets the tone for the night, (I’ve Got a) Golden Ticket from the movie Charlie and the chocolate factory. Kelsy owns the stage and the audience, telling them to “Shut the fuck up” when she’s trying to tell a story. She introduces herself and her band Hot Trash. Her vocals are perfect, she never disappoints. She delivered all of her hits and a few covers thrown in for good measure.

Highlights included a cover of Girl Crush by Little Big Town with stunning harmonies from Kelsy and Matt and a cover of the Blondie classic “Call Me”. During the song “Catch me if you can” she asked the audience will you catch me? then leaped out crowd surfing.

Kelsy is very down-to-earth and approachable, she has all the time in the world for her fans and makes them feel part of the show.

Bassist Tommy did his football routine where he ranks all the local teams from best to worst and makes sure the local team are the worst, Kelsy explains that he has done this in every city with little response. Her all British band, Hot Trash consists of Matt Peach on guitar ( A solo artist in his own right ), Tommy Gent on Bass ( Ex Struts Bass player ), and Seb Boyse on drums.

During each show, Kelsy gives out an award for the best-dressed person, a framed pair of her pink knickers. She emphasizes this is not someone that dresses like her and in this case, she gave it to a friend and fan Mathew.

I agree with you! I saw her in NY and she was fantastic! I had a meet and greet with her and she was so welcoming and funny! I was definitely the oldest person at the show (70) but she welcomed me with open arms! People should definitely go to have a great experience!????????
