CRAWLERS gig review – YES Manchester – Support from Dollie Demi and Floor 4.
Tonight’s venue is YES in Manchester a great venue and bar, thankfully not far from the train station. I’m here to check out the up and coming Liverpool rock band CRAWLERS. Up first on stage are Floor 4.
Foor 4 are a non-binary EMO band and do things their own way. They are a great live band worth catching if you get the chance. They are a local Manchester three-piece, the guitarist has some seriously good moves and is very enthusiastic, so much so at one point he went crashing into the Crawlers drum kit, thankfully there was no damage.

Next up it's Dollie Demi. What can I say about this band other than you have got to see this live. Earlier this week I shot the legend that is Skin from Skunk Anansie a truly great front woman, tonight I saw the next generation. Demi owns that stage and works it to the max. She is supremely confident and it's a joy to watch. If I had to make a comparison it would have to be Transvision Vamp. The whole band are on point with rock solid instant hook riffs. This was a small venue but Demi still managed to make the most of it, including ending up in the audience for the last song. This is very new band in that they only have a handful of singles out at present, but I for one cannot wait for their first album. Look out for this band they could be the next big one.

Next it's the band we have all come to see CRAWLERS. They first came to my attention when watching one of Justin Hawkins YouTube videos, he claimed this was going to be the next stadium rock band, a bold claim. I had to have a listen and I've got to say I got it instantly with 'Come over again', it's just an instant classic, it currently has 1.4 million views on YouTube. When this happens record companies start to take interest and sure enough they got a deal. The crowd are well warmed after Floor 4, Dollie Demi and ABBA's dancing queen being played twice.
The light go out and the band come on stage Holly talks to the audience but cannot be seen, then she comes through the audience to take the stage. This is the absolutely the best time to see a great band, right at the start, they know they are good now, but they are still hungry for success. Every member of the band gave it 100% and the audience love it.
The record company are so confident about this band they are sending them on a US tour, if they can break America they will be massive. If you live in the US take my word for it, do not miss this chance to see them before they take off.
A great night of new rock, I cannot wait for the album.
