The Darkness Motorheart album review. Packed with sold gold hits.

The Darkness Motorheart album review, spoiler alert “You are going to love it”. Here we are again people, it’s time for a new album from The Darkness, what better Christmas present could you ask for? Rock News HQ have been given an advanced copy of Motorheart, so we can pass on they joy and glad tidings to you. The good news is you don’t have to wait long as Motorheart is out this Friday the 19th.

It all kicks off with a thumping bass line from Frankie on Welcome Tae Glasgae, and we soon get treated to yet another classic Darkness riff. I’m sure you are now all familiar with the Star Trek infused It’s Love, Jim (But not as we know it) one of the singles released a few weeks ago.

Next it’s the title track Motorheart, this and Nobody Can See Me Cry have riffs that would make the late great Lemmy proud, and they both have massive Darkness choruses. Sticky Situations is more of a ballad done in a style that only can be carried off by The Darkness, this could be the singalong track of the album. Speed Of The Nite Time has an 80’s rock feel with some seriously good harmonies.

All in all this album is more solid gold from one of the hardest working bands out there. Now we all know Christmas doesn’t start officially until you see The Darkness preforming Christmas Time (Don’t Let the Bells End) live, and this year is no exception as you can catch the boys out on tour from the 17th.
