An interview with Disciples of Babylon. Roctavia chats with Eric and Gui.

Welcome everyone. I recently sat down to chat with a Hollywood based band that got in touch with us called Disciples of Babylon. In this interview, I chat with lead vocalist Eric Knight and bassist, Gui Bodi. The two met while studying at the Musicians Institute, not far from where they are currently based, and later formed the diverse group that is rounded out by guitarist Ramon Blanco & drummer Chris Toeller. Knight invited guitarist Ramon Blanco to join the band after watching Blanco perform a guitar solo of Alter Bridge’s “Blackbird” online. Knight and Blanco began writing music together immediately, and wrote the song “Arrived” during their first writing session.

Although the band is often mistaken for a religious group due to their multitude of humanitarian efforts & the religious tone of the band’s name, the band has stated that the name is more of a reference to a modern day Babylon & that these facts, as well as the tone of their newest single “Liberty,” are just desires to bring the common wealth together. The band has also stated that they make their music from the heart and hope that it reaches the masses as a unifying factor. You can get to know more about Disciples of Babylon as we chat about motorcycles, what the band does to stay sane in their free time, as well as their ties to a mega famous musical connection at the link below.
