An Interview with Hardwicke Circus. Roctavia chats to Jonny Foster.
Howdy everyone! I’m still running on some next level interview energy after my most recent interview with Jonny Foster of UK band, Hardwicke Circus. Hardwicke Circus hails from Carlisle, UK & is a six-piece of rather interesting characters comprised of Jonny Foster – Lead vocals and guitars, Tom Foster – Drums and vocals, Ben Wilde – Bass and vocals, Lewis Bewley-Taylor – Keys, Andy Phillips – Saxophone, & Zack McDade – Guitars and vocals.
In our interview, Jonny and I got to cover topics such as how listening to our parent’s vinyl records have had a major impact on an artist’s interest & submersion in the world of music, rogue saxophone players, paragliding & prison gigs, as well as Hardwicke Circus’ soon to be debut album “The Borderland,” out on July 23rd. Save an interruption of a few moments of a pesky internet connection on Jonny’s end, the interview was definitely a pretty good time. Music is definitely a universal language because we seemed concerned about a lot of the same musical wheelhouses. In this interview, Jonny expressed his passion for independent venues, keeping the creative juices flowing…even in down time, and gaining creative inspiration from the likes of Bob Dylan, Janice Joplin, and many more.

You can also feast your eyes on my review of Hardwicke Circus’ soon to be debut album “The Borderland” in the links below as well. And as always, please do support artists like Hardwicke Circus that are trying to make a foothold in the world of the music industry by streaming their music on your favorite streaming services, purchasing albums and merch as they become available, & following/spreading the word about them on your favorite social media platforms.
