Don Broco partner with Hope United for Anti-Cyber Bullying Awareness Day

Don Broco have announced the release of a special edition football jersey featuring the Hope United logo to raise money for the Cybersmile Foundation ahead of Anti-Cyber Bullying Awareness Day, which takes place on June 18th. You can order the shirt here.

Lead singer Rob Damiani comments, “Bullying and online abuse is a topic that we discussed in our recent single and I wanted to write something about an aspect of social media culture I’d really noticed in the last year.

“I keep seeing people tearing each other down and a lot of that destructive negativity is coming from the supposed fans of bands and teams. In football for example, you get these ultra fans who go way beyond the point of criticism into cruel, unadulterated bullying.

“This isn’t just an issue restricted to interactions between celebrities and their fans, but is something that is increasingly commonplace for anyone who communicates online. We think it’s a very important issue and something we should continue to talk about.”

BT’s Hope United, is a squad of athletes from across the four Home Nations who have come together to unite the nation in tackling online hate.

Comprised of male and female players from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, drawn together by their own experiences of online hate, Hope United will drive more support for change and educate the nation on how to protect themselves and be good digital citizens.

The new shirt is a football top similar to what the band are sporting in out of this world Star Trek style video for the new single ‘Manchester Super Reds No.1 Fan’.  The track features on the upcoming new album Amazing Things, which will be released on the 17th September via Sharptone Records.

Amazing Things is the band’s fourth album, and follows the release of 2018’s Technology, which was was a Top 5 album in the UK charts and has had over 100 million streams to date, and also 2015’s Automatic, which provided the band with their first Top 10 album in the UK.

Garnering nothing but praise for their relentless high-octane performances, Don Broco have previously sold-out arena shows across the UK, headlining Wembley Arena after selling out Alexandra Palace as well as festival performances around the world including Vans Warped Tour, Download, Reading & Leeds, Slam Dunk & more.
