A Highway to Hell – A brief History of AC/DC
AC/DC are an Australian band, although the Young brothers started out life in Scotland as did Bon Scott and Brain Johnson hails from Gateshead. The UK, Australian argument is for another time, but officially they are Australian. It all started way back in 1973 when the Young brothers decided to form a band. They released the first album High Voltage in 1975 with Bon Scott at the helm. When it comes to the bands front men most people think of Bon Scott or Brain Johnson but the fans know it’s Angus.
Shorty after the death of Bon Scott, Brain Johnson took over the helm and the band released what has gone on to become one the biggest selling albums of all time Back in Black.
Malcolm Young retied in 2014 due to ongoing problems with dementia, he was replaced by his nephew Stevie Young. You can never write off ACDC off and in 2020 they came back with one of the best albums for many years. Power up was an all out tribute to the legend that is Malcom young.

Hihgway to Hell is the album that opened for AC/DC worldwide audience. Sudenly band was recognice
every where as superstar. And specially vocal of Bone Scott which was the seal of his career with the band, unfortunately, prematurely interrupted by his death. No doubt next album is also great and probably bigger comercialy succes, but as a whole HTH it’s a bit better for me, more melodic and more friendly if i may say so. Of course, my assessment is certainly subjective. Maybe someone will say that High Voltage or Let there be rock.,, Certainly formula AC/DC will remain in the history of rock music as one of the most recognizable and exciting.
